Cal-Tech® ADAS Recalibration

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance System, which describes technology used to assist in avoiding road collisions. This includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warnings. Most cars now have an ADAS included. This clever technology uses cameras, radar and other systems to inform the vehicle of where it is on the road and help the driver make corrections quickly. The majority of front-facing camera systems are either attached to the inside of the windscreens or are mounted on the roof and look through the windscreen. Recalibration is required after a windscreen replacement as a vehicle manufacturer requirement. This is to ensure the system is working effectively to keep you and your passengers safe. You may also need to have your ADAS recalibrated after an event such as a wheel alignment, change of wheels or tyres, a faulty engine control unit or disconnection or partial removal of the camera from its mounting. Your vehicle guide book should provide you with a full list of applicable recalibration events. We can repair or replace windscreens for all automotive vehicles no matter the age, make or model. In addition, we can cut flat glass to replace windows in boats, caravans, trucks, buses, tractors or machinery. We understand the need to keep downtime to a minimum, especially for production machinery, and work with you on site to template and return the new glass as quickly as possible. All glass replacement and repairs are conducted using quality products. Yes, we do! We can take the hassle out of claiming a windscreen on your insurance. We work with you and your insurance company to get your car fixed and back on the road fast. We deal with most leading insurance companies in Australia. Come in and have a chat with us if you would like to claim your windscreen repair or replacement on insurance.

You will be able to see where the damage was, but it will look much better than it did - plus, it will be a lot safer. A windscreen chip repair is designed to avoid a chip turning into a crack. It does leave a blemish, but this will not interfere with the driver's vision.

It takes about 1-2 hours to replace your windscreen, plus around 30 minutes for the adhesive to cure. We will call you when your car is safe and ready to drive away.

You need to leave a little extra time (around 30 minutes) after the work is complete for the adhesive to set and your car to be safe to drive again. We will let you know an estimated time frame and call you when your car is ready.
